I read he wore a wedding band from Jim Hutton at home in the later years, and I think he showed a ring to an audience in his early pageboy haircut days asking, "Do you like it?" But otherwise?

So, apart from the occasions when he wore a ring, did he wear a ring?
I'm guessing he didn't.

I believe the performace you were thinking of carbo was when he wore a glove that would have its fingertips flame up (no idea how it was accomplished, but looked really cool). If I remember, and it's been awhile since I saw the clip, he shows the audience the tips of his gloves and says "Do you like them? They're real diamonds. They were a gift from the devil himself. You don't believe me? They don't believe me!" They would then play Stone Cold Crazy and just before the title line, he'd flick his fingers out and they'd all be on fire. Awesome bit of stagecraft. In answer to your original question, he wore a few rings here and there, probably just trinkets. He was quite fond of jewelry in the early days. Had to have the glam to go with the rock, I guess.

Thanks. I watched it again. Yes, a gold ring on his ring finger on his right hand. I asked the question originally because with all of Freddie's dazzling costumes and flash, I would have thought he'd have bling on each finger when performing. Rings would have probably clunked against his mic wand anyway. I'm glad he wasn't into earrings.

lol..he would look hideous with earrings, like Paul Stanley did..

Freddie wore Winnie Kirschberger's wedding band from Sept 5, 1984 until May 12, 1986.
Jim HuttOn had to guilt Freddie into wearing a ring he gave him for Freddie's birthday 1986.
Freddie never chose to give Hutton a ring.

Freddie's ring was pretty worn out by the mid-eighties.

Hey FreddieDearie: Let me guess, you're one of the Jim haters on instagram. Pathetic. Do you honestly think Freddie would want his fans to be slandering a man he loved?
The ring from Winnie was a silver ring. It wasn't a wedding ring.
Freddie did buy Jim a ring from Cartier and there are several photos of him wearing it.

Hey Sweetandtenderholligan,
Don't know what you're referring to, but Im nearly stating facts here. No hate involved. Just interested in ACCURACY.
Funny how so many accepted it was a wedding band when you presumed it was from Jim! ??
You're dead WRONG.
1) It doesn't matter if it was gold and/or silver... It was a BAND. (But it was gold and had a diamond in it. )
2) When a gay man wore a BAND on his right hand ring finger in the 1980's .... It was unambiguously SIGNALING to the gay community and anyone who was aware gay code... the man wearing it was in a gay committed relationship. Freddie KNEW when he wore that ring what it would signal exactly that.
3) Gay men didn't wear "Friendship rings" in 1980's. ESPECIALLY Freddie. Freddie had stopped wearing all jewelry at that point ... EXCEPT for Winnie's wedding band.
4). Please learn how to use a calendar.
Freddie did NOT buy Jim a wedding ring and there are ZERO pictures of him wearing BAND when he was with Freddie. JUST A SIGNET ring he had been wearing since June 1985 when Jim was still only a one night stand at that point. Any picture of Jim wearing a signet ring (on his LEFT hand). Was a ring he wore before knowing Freddie. You can see Jim wearing it the day Freddie took all his friends visiting his flat to Garden Lodge.
In January 1987, Jim used Freddies money to buy HIMSELF a signet ring. NOT a wedding ring. Freddie never GAVE him a wedding ring. There are ZERO photos of him wearing it.

Hi FreddieDearie,
This is the quote from you on another post
Freddie called many of his boyfriend's "hubby" and "my husband". From David Minns thru Winnie Kirschberger.
And there's no evidence Freddie was still wearing the wedding band. Jim lies many times in that book.
Phoebe mentions a Teddy bear being put in the mortuary bag with Freddie, nothing about him wearing Jim's ring.
Please read the ask-phoebe.

In the last years he used to wear a single piece of jewellery, a ring given him by Jim. He was still wearing it at the end of his life.
And Jim's ring, please google picture in IBIZA . You could find the answer there.

Yes, that's why I pointed out that Hutton had to guilt him into consistently wearing it. Freddie was EMBARRASED to wear Jim’s ring.
From Hutton’s book:
” We had been out clubbing and his habit of hiding the ring from the people around him began to annoy me. He seemed too embarrassed to wear it, and I was beginning to feel like a part-time partner. ‘Every time you go out of the house you take the bloody thing off.”

Freddie didn't give him that ring you see in Ibiza. That was a signet ring that HUTTON BOUGHT FOR HIMSELF with birthday money when he couldn't coax Freddie into buying him one.

Freddie had a ring on and was wearing it when he died because Mary Austin wanted him to take it off when he got sick up to her old tricks. She even at the end wanted him to be hers even in death. The ring was given to him by Jim to represent his love for him Jim was old fashioned country boy it seemed how special I bet that was. What other man would’ve stayed with their bf with that diagnoses.Mary was there to collect the money and her house promised to many years ago by a young struggling Freddie that didn’t want to hurt her by revealing the fact he was gay.

Freddie’s friends Lee and Thor said they were on a special visit to meet Jim Freddie called him his husband. I won’t give out no more info they are writing a book that will cover such matters.Whoever wants to know more needs to by the book there is a lot of answered material I’m sure.
