Linda Ronstadt absolutely is great too. She can sing the pants off anyone. She sang rock, country, New Wave, hard rock, pop, jazz, standards, R&B, maharichi. Hell, she has sang every musical genre I can think of. Christina Aguilera or Pisstina Aquafina as I call her is a show-off and is just as bad as Mariah or Hoeriah as I call her. What makes Linda Ronstadt so much better than these pop diva hoo haw's is that she has such great vocal control, stability, and range. She isn't following up each word she sings with a breath; breathy singing isn't good singing. What sealed the deal with me respecting her voice was when she did standards. People don't realize just how hard it is to sing them; back in the day, singers HAD to be good, because the songs required talent. Now, ANYONE can sing, and make millions. I'd like to see Britney Spears attempt to sing a standard. Not only would she butcher it, but she'd die of vocal strain.

I agree with you, B*tchney as I call Britney, got turned down by EVERY label but some bro at Jive which was a predominantly black R&B/rap label probably offered her a deal after he had intercourse with her. Luckily her career is falling down the toilet as her erratic behavior, which made Syd Barrett's seem normal in comparison, is killing her. She only made it cos people liked how she looked, she is a trashy facsimile of one of my best friends!

i think that both mariah and freddie are awesome, its weird because i ve always thought that mariah and freddie should be the top two and this list proves that i am right! scariness, well i always though if freddie did a song with mariah it would have been a dream come true bcos mariah has always been my idol and freddie always my love. that list is a okay, at least they acknowledged Freddie most idiots overlook him.

I had customers from old record store I used to work at tell me, and it wasn't bullsh*t, and say I met her and I replied is she what the media portrays her(nice) or is she supertramp(excuse the pun). Turns out she was the latter(always refusing autographs, tells fans to f*ck off and even told Yankee player Derek Jeter to take a hike and that is no lie). We had one Madonna already we don't need TWO! At least she is wearing out her welcome as album sales have PLUMMETED(don't blame the internet and economy) due to overexposure of her in press and so forth. Any artist who sells 14 or so million in the US alone on a debut album has their clock ticking soon after before they fall from grace. Many a bands got to success based on MUSIC and not their appearance(Pink Floyd, Rush, Supertramp, Genesis, The Eagles, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin)
