I mean come on, just because you can hit high notes, it doesnt mean that you can sing, come on!!! I think Mariah Carey's voice is good, but after a while, her voice can get a little annoying...she always hitting those damn high notes! Granted, I hate her latest CD along with her greatest hits, but I wouldnt dare put her before Freddie! I swear, I never get tired of listening to Freddie's voice!

Does anyone agree with me? Here goes the list:

Not that it means anything, We ALL know who should be #1!!!
she is sh*t when compared 2 freddie!

And how on earth did eminem beat David Bowie!
This chart is totally messed up! How can they call him a singer?
And how the hell did tupac beat Steven Tyler he is a god!!!! (BESIDES FREDDIE, BONO AND DAVID BOWIE)
Here is my top 10 best voices in music
1.Freddie
2.Steven Tyler
3.David Bowie
4.Bono
5.Bruce Springsteen
6.Christina Aguilara
7.Michael Jackson
8.Brian May
9.Elvis
10.Kurt Cobain
that's almost as bad as the origional list
Well thats my sort of thing just cos i like it doesnt mean that you have to like the same thing.
If you cant accept that other people like other things and different people than you just shouldnt say anything!!!!
Dont say that my taste is crap cos even though i dont like alot of the people on my list (christina, michael,elvis,bruce...) i can admit that they are good singers and have good voices!
Yes, you got yer own opinion.
But Brian's voice doesn't even come in the top 100 of all time.

A) Queen
B) Other rock groups like The Who, Led Zepp etc.
C) Some famous legends like Aretha Franklin who they actually may only know 1 or 2 of their songs. (Though I agree Aretha Franklin should be in the list)

Is it because people don't KNOW any other singers? or is it because you seriously think Christina Aguilara is in the top 10 best voices in music EVER?

because if it's the latter you seriously need help.

So according to some people, she is a better singer than:

Howling Wolf? Little Richard? Paul Rodgers? Paul McCartney? Bob Marley? Frank Sinatra? Tim Buckley? Eddie Cochran? Ray Charles? Roy Orbison? Lou Reed? Prince? Phil Collins? Johnny Cash? Bob Dylan?

...to name so FEW. And that's just the male singers! Tina Turner, Barbara Streissand, Kate Bush, Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, Sinead O'Connor, Martha Reeves, Grace Jones etc. etc.

Oh, and IMO (and many others I'm sure..I HOPE) Brian May and Roger Taylor.

Hell, let's not even forget

Serj Tankian from System of a Down! I think he's a better singer than Christina Aguilara.

@always and forever: I'm not attacking you personally, or your musical tastes because every single person you mentioned on your list CAN sing..and most of them I'm a big fan of!If we were listing random artists in no order, that are good singer than fine. But to say that Bono is a better singer than Elvis, and Christina Aguilera is better than Michale Jackson - is a complete joke.

..and that's just taking artists from YOUR list. What about taking someone and comparing it to the artists I mentioned above, or millions others that are better.

Aretha sang not only soul staples Respect, Natural Woman, Chain of Fools but also had an 80s comeback with songs like Freeway of Love, Who's Zooming Who, her duet with The Eurythmics Sisters Are Doing It For Themselves and I have always liked her voice she can sing blues, gospel, R&B, pop, rock and has done opera. Kate Bush is too weird, I'll take Chrissie Hynde anyday. I forgot to mention Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins as great singers. Babsi Streisand is annoying but has a diverse voice(may be known for schlock but had two albums produced by Barry Gibb and did a duet with disco diva Donna Summer, had one song written or produced for her by Meatloaf mastermind Jim Steinman and even had Roger Daltrey appear in her video for Emotion where he played her love interest who sleeps in most of clip until she awakens him as she is being chased by muggers).
"Spread your wings and fly away, fly away, far away!", "No one makes me sing lullabies and no one makes me close my eyes"

Tim Buckley: "I never asked to be your mountain."
Great song, as well as everything else he did.
Cheers
