And go listen to some "Bad Company" songs, Paul Rodgers has a good voice. One of their good songs is "Bad Company".
Hayek Eva, your statement is wrong and unfounded, OR you don't know what vocal range means. The only rock singers with a vocal range close to Freddie were Elvis Presley. Robert Plant might be close but his vocal range was never measured.

Actually you are the smartass, Freddie did not have an 8 octave voice. Mariah Carey's was a 6 octave before she went psycho, you need to be more educated on music. And don't even try to argue with others who know their shit, i know music, i have been playing multiple instruments since i was 7 years old and have attended Berkley, and have sang in Quartets since the age of 10 and i have also been a vocal coach, and let's see, hmmm, and have had music training since the age of 5 when i started piano. Honestly i have a 6 Octave voice, and i know that our dear Freddie did not have an 8 octave voice. Doesn't make him better or worse of a singer, you don't have to have more octaves to be an awesome singer. :) Do i really need to say more? The record (i think) was for a 9 Octave and that was just broken recently. Get a book on the Human voice and study it before calling someone a smartass or a know it all. Why must you be so unwilling to gain knowledge instead of just sitting back and listening to people who know and quit relying on books and articles. Best of luck.
