No, you are not. You are a poor excuse for a singer/songwriter/poet/guitarist with an acoustic guitar and a sucky mic you probably broke when you sung/played into.

You're not a poet
You don't have a Telecaster
You DO have ego issues: too much of it.
Take lessons, that way, there is at least hope.

I have the emotional connection of Callas, the technique of Caballé, and the characterisation skills of Natalie Dessay...
EGO, you dare say I have EGO ?! THERE IS NO EGO - ONLY TALENT.
EVERYONE can sing (some just do it better).
Well, when I recorded that, I didn't have the mic on and I accidentally got some weird noises from a passing space ship. But you shouldn't JUDGE me on that. It wasn't ALL I could do. You should hear me in the shower - CALLAS, CABALLÉ, DESSAY - IT'S GREAT.

** In other news, I recognise that none of these things are true. This is why I have a drive to learn - about music and technique and whatever else anyone is willing to teach me (and I practice). For one, I know what a "beat" is - things like tempo and time... and other really exciting things.
Honestly, yes - ANYONE can write poetry. But am I going to compare...
"Roses are red, violets are blue, I'm really sorry I spilt my beer - all over you"
- to something like "White Queen" ? Hey - you can argue about "taste" all you want, but not all poetry is created equal.

you guys are comparing me to my influences, which is unfair. if you compare me to myself, I will accept your CONSTRUCTIVE critisism, tell me which of my songs is better than the others, don't tell me I suck. for instance, if you like the acapella vibes of Goodnight Gorgeous, but dislike the headache making drums of Mountain Momma, then I need a real drummer. so the heck what? I understand that I need a band to do anything better than what I did with say, Blame Game. I need to learn guitar, I need to bribe my gay drummer friend to help me, I need a bassist. my ex-girlfriend (best friend's current girl) wants to drum for me, which leaves my gay friend at either Bass (he'd have to learn) or Piano (he already knows). the girl is gonna leave the band right away anyway, she is trying to form a girl band with some of our buds. I am talking out of order and not making anysense.
maybe I could convince them to turn the girl band into a 4 girls and a guy band.
how does Donny Mars and the Unruly Youth sound?

I listened to your music. I have a few thoughts about what you just said.
1. How can we not compare you to your influences when you blatantly say your recording is "crisp as Queen, forceful as Bowie, blah blah blah"? You set yourself up for comparison, because when I saw that, I thought to myself, "Cool, I like those musicians, maybe this will be good."
2. Was it necessary to point out that your drummer is gay? Does that add/detract to his drumming abilities? Does the fact that he's homosexual make him a better drummer than you?
Let's see... I like to think I was constructive. The only thing I can add is a question: did you record these songs as a joke, or did you lose a bet of some kind?

[/QUOTE]well, I suppose that was an inside joke that no one here will understand, I also suppose that you guys would really have to know me to understand anything I have said in this thread.

I'd smash your head till you could play Malmsteen's Cavalino Rampante backwards.

Well it's HARD to drum with limp wrists! He's obviously a pioneer in his field!!
"Think the Who with a sober Keith Moon."
Yawn! There goes half the fun, right there.

I used to have a CD labeled "Makeout Music" which was just a loop of the Eminence Front riff.
I've just decided to replace it with your music.
