I gave you "constructive criticism". The fact that I found nothing to like doesn't mean I didn't look at the "music" objectively. I have even told you what you can try to do to fucking improve.
You offend me so god-damn much because I'm a person who WANTS to learn more about music - who wants to work my ass off to get better. I would LOVE to have someone tell me what I could be doing better, but I'm not vain enough to post a "lookatme!" thread (and even if I did, it would be more along the lines of "PLEASEHELPME"). I'm just going to continue singing, try my hardest, LISTEN to what other people have to say... and in general try to get better.
You REALLY need to work on your music skills. You seem to go off-key a lot. Work with scales, get to know your voice (breaks, registers, strengths, weaknesses) and a piano (you can learn scales on a piano unless you're missing two hands). Then again, I don't know what you call it if there wasn't really a "key" to begin with. Also, learn about the parts of a song - "noise made by instruments" is not always synonymous with "music".
Also - there are different ways to write music. Some people work in groups and rely on the drummer to "fill in" the drums or whatever. Then there are people who write music for instruments they themselves may have little to no proficiency in. It's about knowing about music (chords, o my ! Melody, gasp ! Coda... o fuck !!!).

im going to start recording bits and pieces of songs on how i sound, and i would love genuine critisism. i have the same problem you do. people tell me im good, but am i really, or are people just saying that being scared that my feelings would be hurt? if i suck, tell me why, if im good, tell me why, so i can keep that skill. what do i need to improve on? i know i got quite a bit to work with, and would love genuine and LEGITIMATE opinions.

And... in my experience, it's just that people don't know what they mean by "good" (as in not just "better than a lot of people I hear a lot when I'm in the car with them can sing") - and are afraid of hurting someone's feelings. I also mostly sing around people who find it impressive that I can read music and very slowly plonk something out on the piano. : p

Sanitary Sewer came out really bad albumwise, and I would like to take a break so I can refine my skills for future compilations. I want to sound unique, like Death Metal meets Ian Whitcomb. somthing so new and fresh that I have to create my own genre. if I continue work on The Return Of Donny with the same skill level it will surely go down as the biggest waste of a cd since AOL stopped sending their discs in the mail to random people.
