Bloody hell.
They can shove the live tracks up their .....

As for the BBC Sessions - purely as a filler so they didn't have to bother with anything else.
Those BBC Sessions could quite easily have been released as a seperate 2 disc set.

QPL are bunch of arseholes.

I do not remember SWAFIB being on both Q and QII, but two different versions of SWAFIB being on QII. Yop.

In my anger I noticed Mad The Swine as SWAFIB. my mistake.  But doesn't change nothin at all - 40 th anniversary albums shouldn't looks like that.

10 or more years waiting for Great Boxset and now - SLAP in the face again.

  say it's not true...

If tracklist are just " work in prog " hmmm. we'll see.

Hold on everybody! This may be not so bad as it seems...

First of all, I have to say that these news have got my attention to Queen again, in a way that hasn't happened since the Q+PR tour. This is supposed to be the last re-issue of the complete catalogue for a very long time, so it is indeed something of great importance.

Having said that, it was obvious from the beginning that QP would find a way of screwing up the concept of a "Deluxe Edition". And they did.
Sure, these DE are light years away from the likes of Bowie, Springsteen, Genesis and pretty much everybody else. Sure, they "invented" another stupid "QP rule", this time limiting the bonus material to 5 tracks per album (WTF?!). Sure, they are using mostly recycled material ("Live Killers" and "Live At Wembley" tracks?! WTF?!) and material that we have heard before.
But this time, it was not as bad as it could be!

There are some positive nods for these releases: we will get tracks from  from Hammersmith '75, Hyde Park '76 and some of the BBC Sessions. This may very well be a teaser for the next QP releases. Specially regarding Hammersmith '75, where it states "2009 mix", which means it was mixed 2 years ago probably with an official release on schedule, meanwhile cancelled or postponed (just like everything good in the sleeves of QP).

Furthermore, while everybody seems to be bashing "Deep Cuts", I see a window of opportunity here. Why? Because they can include the singe edits on a lot of tracks here. I didn't buy the Singles box-sets and for me (as well as many other people I think), it would be the perfect chance to get these scarce tracks. This would me MY version of "Deep Cuts", considering the tracks listed before:

- DEEP CUTS 1973-1976 (2011)
01. '39 [Album version]
02. Flick Of The Wrist [7" Unsegued (3:21) - Japan 3" CDS EMI TODP 2252]
03. Good Company [Album version]
04. I'm In Love With My Car [Japan 7" Unsegued Japan 3" CDS TODP 2253]
05. In The Lap Of The Gods... Revisited [Album version]
06. Keep Yourself Alive [US 7" Edit (3:29)]
07. Lily Of The Valley [1975 US 7" (1:42) Unsegued - Keep Yourself Alive: Elektra E-45268-B]
08. Long Away [Album version]
09. The Millionaire Waltz [Album version]
10. My Fairy King [Album version]
11. Ogre Battle [Album version]
12. Stone Cold Crazy [Album version]
13. Tenement Funster [UK 7" Unsegued 3:01 - Japan 3" CDS EMI TODP 2252 ]
14. The March Of The Black Queen [Album version]

See? Not so bad now! Of course I would also include the single version of "Tie Your Mother Down" and "Teo Torriatte", but I guess you can't ask for everything.

On the side, we'll hopefully get some brand new pretty editions of the albums with lots of added studio and live photographs from each era (fingers crossed!).
As Bob pointed out, this is definitely a step in the right direction!

Who wants to bet that they won't make unique stand-alone versions of tracks like Black Queen or Ogre Battle - but just have them fade-in or fade-out?

I'm already assuming they won't do that ;-)
I mean, seriously... Do you remotely expect that? Let's hope they include at least the existing standalone versions. And my guess is that even expecting those is a long shot...

Oh trust me... these WILL be the tracklists..

As others have said, I'd love for them to make proper standalone versions for the tracks. They can use the Dutch version of Flick Of The Wrist (With full un-faded piano intro). TMOTBQ, LOTV and Ogre Battle would all need to be mixed from scratch. Given their track record, this is unlikely, but I'd like to think that they'd make this more interesting for those who already have the tracks.

We shall see. GT can you reveal if they will be using proper standalone versions or just fading out?

If they remixed the tracks in order to create standalone versions for all of them... then this compilation would be a no-brainer!
