If Greg responds to an obviously joke post with jokes of his own, and you get wound up about it, who's the idiot?

Yeah, I'd believe it was a joke response too, if he hadn't used an insult at the end.

A great tech-studies lesson from a well respected member, of this forum. Amazing what a comma can get you away with as well lol - eh, PG?

Greg couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery, let alone an exhibition.

CRM displaying that reknowned Germanic tact.

Thanks for the write-up there Greg. Fascinating stuff. I got excited about you mentioning this exhibition actually touring. Would love it to make it to Perth in Western Australia! ;)

Looks like Ray D O'Gaga is too busy blowing the archivist to make sense.

Any chance of an extension?

Anyway all that aside, I loved the exhibition so congrats to everyone involved

This is 1974 we're talking about. Odds are, that what was sent to the speakers is what was being recorded, warts 'n all.
Unlikely - otherwise the poor bastard on the desk wouldn't have dared move any of the faders!
You'd only have recorded what was sent out to the pa if you were just recording the stereo output of the desk. Setting up a multitrack device to a mixing desk, you'd have been recording each channel raw - otherwise there'd have been little point recording to a multitrack. How do you think they would have managed to record the ambience of the room/cheering when that certainly wouldn't have been put through to the pa on the night?

Saw this this afternoon - in the dying hours of the exhibition (and was pleased to be invited to contribute to MPT rather than being sold merchandise).
I noticed one error early on: "Seaside Rendezvous" was said to be on ADATR. :-) Later on it was right.
Particularly liked the Earl's Court footage - but wonder about the video dropout. (I suspect it was deliberate). I had to tear myself away from it else I'd've been there FOREVER. :-)
