Hmmm! Not a bad title!...lol! But we can be as positive or as sceptical as we like, but the only way to really judge this stuff is when it's released. The proof is in the pudding, so to speak! Anything else is pure speculation on our parts.
But what else are forums for, besides speculating about how bad things are going to be, and no matter how good it is finding something to pick away at?

Deep Purple fans are upset because the Made In Japan box set is 7 discs instead of 9. They released all three uncut concerts for the first time. The encores of all three nights are on the same disc, and this perturbed some people (despite making the product less expensive). You just can't please everyone..

When you do the things good, like The Freddie Mercury Box set, ok, but when is Queen Rocks or Greatest Hits3+....

I have a feeling this will be it. The Queen Forever compilation with two or three new tracks plus the Rock You sequel. Certainly, no full album in the making, no MJ duets and no feature film to be released. Just a gut feeling. Cherish the new tracks, no matter how average they are likely to be.

Well, Universal got a portion of Deep Purple's catalogue when EMI was sold, and this is their first release of the material they've purchased http://store.universal-music.co.uk/restofworld/deep-purple-made-in-japan-super-deluxe-box-set-2014/invt/0602537696383

As far as Queen goes, Universal can make suggestions, but as they are only licensing the Queen catalogue, it is Queen Productions who have the final say on any archive releases we get from them.

Hmmm! Fair point Wizard!....lol! Although I guess some might prefer to talk about how good it's going to get, mightn't they? I'm probably a bit more of a glass half full person myself. But I would be pretty disappointed like everyone else if they album turns out to be crap.

it´s incredible, just 5 or 7 year ago this project would got me having no sleep."Unreleased/unheard tracks with Freddie, hell yes !!"

but today I´m amazed of finding myself so cold when reading all this stuff and these insubstantial interviews Brian ´s giving.

Will I be pre-ordering the album so to have it since day one of release? yes of course; unheard Freddie is the only slight motivation I have as a Queen fan today, but gone are the days when I felt so excited after "things" like Queen Rocks or GH3 being released.

I pray to heaven that Brian+Rog prove me wrong and this Queen Forever compilation is something to praise them for.

Well said, I'm also getting sick of the same old over and over again......
Not blaming anyone, they can do whatever they want, just seems to many games over the last 5 to 10 years

Well Brian's just confirmed no Andy Gibb on the 'new ' tracks, and can't understand where his name has come from in assocaiton with Queen. Perhaps we've all been mistaken about his involvement all these years, or has Brian simply forgotten that he did a bit of vocal? Do we have definitive proof that Gibb DID do something on a working version of Play The Game, or is this just one of those myths that has circulated over the years until taken as gospel???

Well maybe Brian did mean that PLAY THE GAME with Andy Gibb won't include on a new album .

So where DID the original idea that Andy Gibb was involved with Play The Game come from?
