Is there any reason for the full tracklist being withheld for a disproportionally long time? You have to admit, GT, it's pretty unusual for a tracklist to not be available a mere few weeks before the set release date.

I would imagine it is safe to say that this box set will not be released in North America..[/QUOTE]
I think the same

Strange that there's no vinyl for the new album, you'd have thought a limited run of maybe a coloured vinyl would go like hotcakes.

That's a bloody shame.
If there is no LP I will be downloading the box. Perfectly legal in my country.

Indeed. Look at the Brian May + Kerry Ellis: "Acoustic by candlelight" LP. 500 made. All sold out now.

Exactly, and if I am not mistaken, that album didn't even make the top 100. I expect Roger's album will impact the top 100 for at least a week.

what about price ??? In Italy some online stores have it at a preorder price of 162 euros ....
LOT http://www.inmondadori.it/Lot-Roger-Taylor/eai060253753714/ eur 161.99
FOE http://www.inmondadori.it/Fun-on-earth-Roger-Taylor/eai060253756998/ eur 24.99
LOT seems to be a bit expensive, compared to the FM Boxset some years ago and considering a Queen-related release.

Over a decade ago you mean. The price for The Lot box is normal if you ask me.

Indeed, taking into account normal inflation plus the ongoing byproducts of shitty economies and music piracy worldwide.

Take into account the prices of other special releases by artists on Island records, Queen's stuff is extortionate.
Hell, Belinda Carlisle (stop laughing and yes, it's a different label), just released 4 of her albums remastered, with all associated remixes and B sides AND a DVD of Promos for less than £10 each.
Mike Oldfield has done similar stuff these last few years for no more than £15 an album - and that includes surround mixes and a DVD.
Queen just don't give a shit and want the most money for the least effort.

Apples and oranges as far as brands go. Queen are still a huge powerhouse as far as public perception goes, so of course (no thanks to the enabler "Greatest Hits crowd") QPL are going to feel entitled to raise their products' MSRP high because they know more people will be likely to shell out money for their products than they will for "that Heaven Is A Place On Earth singer"*, whose popularity is probably questionable by Joe Public standards.
It's sick and twisted, but that's the mentality of big name b(r)ands for you and therefore the sad reality we have to deal with these days.
*Disclaimer: I'm not knocking heavily on Belinda as an artist. I do like a bit of her music, don't get me wrong :-)
