Compilation CD??
I just hope it isn´t a kind of GH CD inside this box...Because in 2 CDs you can´t put every single edit/extended version that Roger solo released...
I hope that CD contains track like I Wanna Testify which don´t fin in other CDs...[/QUOTE]
in fact I think it´ll be 4 CDs: Roger Taylor singles 1&2 and The Cross singles 1&2.
If it´s like this, then you can have space for the regular singles, extended / alternative mixes and even some non-album tracks (I Wanna Testify / Turn On The TV for granted.... and hopefully some little unexpected additional gem)

A few weeks ago i took all extended/edits/b sides of Roger & The Cross and it´s more than 4 CDs (I´m not counting collaborations or unreleased stuff, only which it was available thru the years on vinyl/CDs/etc)
So unless they add the singles and extended version to the albums which they come from or we will miss some stuff...

I actually doubt that we'll get ie the 7" edit of Power To Love or maybe Foreign Sand, simply because it is an edit.
They also did not include any edits on the FM solo box. In fact, I dont see that many edits popping up on other (non-Queen related) releases. There are exceptions ofcourse.

If this happen will be disappointing because in all CDs i´m sure will have free space...
But as the people who compiled the FM box is not the same as this one (if i´m not wrong) let´s hope there are some differences... :-)

From my experience, I can tell you that listening to vinyl can help you "re-discover" the song. I have bought all original Queen albums on cd format but let's take AKOM as an example. For me it sounds flat but when you're listening to 96khz/24bit flac vinyl rip from the 86' original first pressing then you can really cherish every note from WWTLF. It's so good that it can't even get better (wish they'd release it on DVD-Audio).
1. New Dark Ages (The Cross Singles Vol 2)
2. Shove It (Single) (The Cross Singles Vol 1)
3. Pressure On (RT Singles Vol 2)
4. My Country (RT Singles Vol 1)
5. Fun On Earth
6. Electric Fire
7. Blue Rock
8. Strange Frontier (??)
9. Shove It (UK release)
10. Fun In Space
Upper disc: The Lot DVD
"Mad Bad" and "Happiness?" seem to be missing.
The left page of the book shows the track listings for the eight regular albums.
Hopefully the right one shows the contents for the four "singles" discs (one column for each disc).
If so, it seems to be a lot of tracks on them, still considering that each title might have its identification behind it. For example:
Line #1: Power To Love
Line #2: (12" Extended Version)
Dreaming a little bit, I hope that the titles under the line on the second page are the gems that most of us are waiting for.
As for the box itself, for what can be seen, I believe that the discs will be issued in cardboard sleeve format and not in jewel cases.
Only one day to know the official word. All of this is just me speculating.
EDIT: After a second thought, I have discared the idea of the cardboard sleeve presentation. If you compare the dimensions of the discs compared to the booket, four of them fit into one page. They will be probably inserted, in one or other form, in the same way that the discs from the FM Box were.

New Dark Ages is a simple edit, but Foreign Sand is a different version/mix - album has acoustic guitar under the verse whereas the single has the acoustic guitar and some piano removed.

Yea true, that was a bad example :)
I however do hope that both Manipulator versions will be on there even though the extended version is not that much extended after all! Simply because they have never been released digitally before.

Ah, but whilst edits of things like Pressure On and Power To Love are pointless and somewhat destructive, the edit of New Dark Ages is surely vastly superior to the LP version?

Did Roger Taylor say at some point recently that he was going to re-record the Cross Studio l.p.s because the record company would not allow him to re-release them? I'm confused.

Really? With NO sleeves?
So the 12-13 discs are going to be in a book style box? That's pish - original artwork would have been nice. FFS, it looks as though it's been flung together.
I know it looks as though I'm one of those fans that is never happy - this isn't the case, as I'm still really up for this, but it could've been packaged a hell of a lot better.

I suppose you will either be able to buy them individually or at some point will be able to...even if they are in the horrible digi packaging. Now that is some real bad shit. With that said I did not realize that they would not have their own packaging...but that could be fine. Again I don't know. Just keep in mind things can always be re-released differently in the future.

Why would people be expecting individual packaging, when the only comparable product was also released without individual packaging?
Also, the packaging is the most expensive part of manufacturing this box set, and it IS a bit redundant when the potential buyers already own (most) of the albums anyway.

If you applied your logic in this instance, tero, then you may as well say that the bulk of the box itself is redundant as most of us will have those albums anyway....
But the fact of the matter is it's not redundant at all, - not everyone owns these albums already, so would have neither the music NOR the artwork.
With regards to the "only comparable product", I can only assume you mean the FM box? Fair point, but it's the only comparable set in terms of SOLO issues. When Queen 40 was released as a box, ALL of the sleeves were there - and most people would already have that.....
I didn't "expect" individual artwork, but I hoped for it, as I personally don't own Blue Rock or Mad, Bad and Dangerous To Know. Also, if I went just for the box, I wouldn't have the physical artwork for the new album either.
At the end of the day, it's just another marketing ploy - if you want the artwork, linear notes etc, you need to buy the individual CD at £15, and if you want the extras.....it's the bulky (semi-redundant if you apply tero's logic) box.
