I hope that Lot will be a limited max 5000/10000 pieces edition looking at the price, with some "surprise" inside, like a remaster of Shove it (for example); I buyed the european edition and the USA edition of the Cd when they comes out and i found that the european edition, if you open every track with the spectrum analysis, you will see that it seems lossy. This thing is also visible in Heaven for everyone track in the Freddie boxset.
I like roger style, since i buyed my first queen album (1980), but He's not Elvis or Freddie to to justify the price indicated in the sites BOL or Mondadori; in 2001 I payed 300000 Italian lire (approx. 160 euros) for Freddie's collection, now the same price for Roger seems a little expansive even considering the lust for QPL and Universal / Island.
Hoping in an Amazon great price i wait the full tracklist of the four "mysterious" cds.
best wishes
P.s. : Who will be next ? Brian or maybe........john ?

hi,
try to translate my text in Italian without a translator so I rate your Italian.
no offense, of course.
than, if you (and everyone who read my posts) understand what i mean for me is enough.
best regards

If I recall correctly Belinda Carlise's latest re-releases are in the horrible digi-packaging. Cheapest crap possible. I hope Roger's stuff is not done that way. I suppose even if it is hey it could always be re-released! Lol. But no really.

I hope it won't be packaging similar to the Singles Collections boxes, just 12 cd's thrown in simple cardboardsleeves with no booklets, information, pictures, ... Really really hope they've done it right and include full session information, information about the recordings, maybe a new interview with Roger reflecting back on his work etc etc.

I hate digipacks with a passion, especially the ones with no plastic tray for teh discs, BUT the Belinda Carlisle ones are at least packaged nicley which is more than I can say for Aerosmiths last album AND the VERY CHEAP and nasty FLIMSY packaging that the Sunflower Concert DVD came in today (and if you don't know what that is, it's a charity gig with Brian & Kerry as one of the acts)

I'd love to have all of Roger's stuff on vinyl. I've only ever come across Fun In Space in stores, which I bought.
Whether the box set comes out in vinyl format, I don't know, but I'd love to have his new album on vinyl![/QUOTE]
I have Strange Frontier on 12" single. Only played once at a friend's house, I don't have a turntable. I own no other Roger vinyl.
EDIT: hopefully the 12" mixes will be on the bonus CDs. Strange Frontier 12" is a lot longer than the standard single mix.

Neither of these releases seem to be listed on Amazon UK for pre order yet.
It's entirely predictable that apart from the Freddie box which was done by other people, Roger is the first to get his act together with a comprehensive boxset release. It'll never happen for Queen or Brian's stuff while Brian lives sadly.

Well, to be perfectly honest, I wouldn't want a boxset of Brian's solo stuff, most of it is rubbish.

Absolutely - Brian's solo albums (except for the Starfleet Project Mini-LP) have been a complete let-down fror such a talented rock guitarist with AW being little more than a compilation of material available elsewhere. Its no wonder he'd had to turn his head towards other projects outside music as his only real solo success was piggy-backed on to the death of Freddie and the publicity that generated.
