He says something in jest towards someone who slammed it in joking fashion as he probably at that time still had no idea of what the response would be from the team and then within 24 hours there is a response from the team that they have been made aware and are looking into the issue.

You can brush it off as a sense of humour, but I see it as bad customer relations.
We already have one "official" spokesperson of Queen who's talking out of his arse all the time, do we need another one?

well to each his own. I see it as a good thing that we have contact with someone who is not going to just toe the customer relations line and tote out cliched lines. That's what the official announcements (such as on RT's official FB page and Admin on QOL's posts) are for.

This is just GT who is also a fan and a member with full rights posting. I laughed when he quoted the troll. Well played GT.

If that was the only comment we had on the situation from anyone in QPL? Then sure I can see seeing his comments differently...but it's not. He didn't say anthing because he doesn't (I assume here) have the power to say anything "official". But rather than ignore, he said something humorous while waiting for those with said power to respond.

I would bet he was one of the ones who brought it to those people's attention so perhaps a thank you GT might be more in order..

GT's little joke is really the least of the problems here, what he said has no bearing on the actual physical and delivery problems with the boxset, which are many. At the end of the day I couldn't care less about a bit of funny snark, a few hurt feelings are irrelevant and probably unneccessary as I am sure he did not intend to cause offense.

However I do care about the fact that thanks to this clusterfuck I have no copy of Roger's new album to listen to, unless I buy a second copy of it as a standalone. That I really do care about.

It really is the least of the problems, but it's still the final touch that highlights the total unprofessionalism of QP and everyone related to their business... And I thought GT was a good guy.

Well imagine you come to a forum to check what people think about the new product you've been working on by maybe 1%, and all you read is bitching and criticism, would you try to defend an "unfinished" product or would you try to make a joke and run away? His reaction was absolutely natural from a human point of view

Whenever my work is examined by other people and they find problems with it, my reactions are:

- surprise
- embarrassment
- defending my work
- desire to solve the problem

My first reaction isn't to make a joke and run away, because that doesn't help the matter at all.

Or perhaps it would be to make a crack at a known troll on the site and then go talk to the people upstairs to let them know of the errors that had been found and discuss with them a plan of action.

You seem to think that GT is an official spokesman. That is actually NOT true. GT is a human member on this forum who happens to do work for QPL. But why would he be authorized to make any kind of official statement?

And therein lies the problem. It's only because WE have found error after error because of their lack of pride, care, and even basic proof reading/listening, that they have acted at all. Without our input and (in most cases) constructive complaints they would be still blissfully aware.

Regardless of any technical aspects of the site with layout and loading, I'm hoping all the grammatical and factual errors there will be attended too as well.

The thing is I don't know how much of the work which was put into it was done by Gary, maybe it was really about 1% or nothing at all. (I REALLY don't know). That's what I was trying to say, that he maybe has (almost) nothing to do with it and is taking the piss of it just like we are

Ditto. A positive point of view. I do believe there will be very little casualties derived from this unfortunate happening.

Cheers,

Spot on. GT is not merely a megaphone puppet for QPL.

I laughed too. It conjured up the mental of someone dressed up as a mocked up variant of rnrover (oopsie, there I go again with the misspelllings! Oh dearie me) putting on the best "priority seating" face and reciting that semi-quoted line.
