I saw Tenement Funster in a worst list here. Just... no.

Day drop...there have been quite a few others making it on people's "worst" list that stir that same reaction.

Oh well, too each their own.

My favourites (not in any order):

Long Away
The Hero
These Are The Days Of Our Lives
Flick Of The Wrist
The Night Comes Down
Spread Your Wings
Hijack My Heart
White Queen
The Fairy Feller's Master Stroke
March Of The Black Queen

Songs I really don't like at all:

White Man
Don't Try Suicide
Delilah
Sleeping On The Sidewalk
Love Of My Life (studio version only - live version is good)
The Loser In The End
Tear It Up
Man On The Prowl
Is This The World We Created?
I Want To Break Free

A handful of songs missed out on the "best" list - Father To Son, We Are The Champions and Jealousy. It would have been a lot easier to make a top 20 list!
My heart got hijacked by you.......

It seems that "I Want To Break Free" has become increasingly unpopular with many Queen fans. It seemed that in the past it was always cited as one of their *best* '80's songs and on this thread it's appearing on quite a lot of *worst* lists.

^^^ yeah it does seem to be one of those that doesn't "feel the love" these days.
i'm wondering if it's down to a couple of simple facts:

1. the whole "sound" has aged badly
2. it's one of those songs that has nothing exciting about it - therefore when you hear it you never hear anything "new" in it - ie any facet that you'd forgotten about

It's true - I never listen to the Hits at all, but odd that a few are actively picked as disliked.

Khizzy's lists are awesome.

Top 10:

- Bohemian Rhapsody - 'Die hard fans' of Queen seem to like complaining that this is overplayed[/QUOTE]

I would fall in to this category. It is a beautiful song that represents Queen, but there are just so many people I've met that know nothing of Queen outside of this song and a couple others, like Rock You and Another One Bites the Dust. Personally none of those are on my top 10, but I like them all. I guess I just have an underdog complex, and if one song is overshadowing other truly great songs then that song goes down a couple notched. Not Bohemians fault, but it's not something I can help either.

That's fair enough. I guess my point was that it's a good thing at least we have something like Bo Rhap as their most famous song, something which represents them at their peak much better than Rock You or Bites the Dust.

Worth pointing out that some of the archival released renewed my interest in some of the more obvious good tunes - Hearing Brian going through the multitracks of BoRap was like hearing it again. Same with the 'guitar' version of DSMN released on 2011's Jazz.

Really? Wow. Some people are on drugs then. That might be my overall favorite Queen song, now that I think about it. Way up on my last if I could ever conduct one.
