I've been wondering since some choice tracks seem to get a lot of hate in the fanbase - off the top of my head, Don't Try Suicide, Rain Must Fall, Delilah and Friends Will Be Friends are four supposed banes of people's existence as Queen listeners, but I happen to love all of those. Opinions change and vary with everyone, of course, but some songs come under fire again and again. Is there a general list of such, do you think?

The obvious question is what Queen songs do YOU hate? Queen's music is so varied, that question gets uh.........varied answers.............
like I dont think Friends Will Be Friends is really on that list.......(or IS it?).........personally I think thats a good song! Rain Must Fall and Delilah..........yes..........those are disliked.............(and for good reason I'd say)
and I used to hate Dont Try Suicide but now I kinda dig it................theres some people here that love She Makes Me, for example, and thats one of my least favorite songs.................

I'd say She Makes Me is uninspiring, but not terrible. I like Don't Try Suicide a lot - it's lyrically a bit ridiculous (the very opposite of how you should try and talk to someone at risk of suicide, but maybe that's the point), but the bass line and guitar solo are awesome.
The Loser in the End is another that cops a lot of hate. I never skip it, but I don't care for it hugely either. I guess its problem is that its a straightforward song with some fairly worldly subject matter, thus really doesn't shine on an album like Queen II. The end of the bridge is pretty clunky too, especially the note choice for 'It's not so long since you were YOUNG'. Still, it's good that Roger had the chance to include tracks at that early stage and find his footing - it didn't take him much longer to get to a point of brilliance.

Coming Soon has to be my least favourite song.
I'm one of those (few) who likes Pain is so close to Pleasure, Delilah, Cool Cat and My Baby Does Me.

My Baby Does Me is another one. I don't think I've ever listened to it all the way through. I don't mind Rain Must Fall at all by comparison.
Cool Cat is wonderful, I can't imagine why anyone would dislike it unless they just have a blanket distaste for low key music. That bass line and falsetto vocal.

I love Freddie's voice and Brian's solos in Rain Must Fall and I do like Friends Will Be Friends, I actually get a bit emotional watching the promo video.

I've never really liked Friends Will Be Friends, I think it was a bad attempt at writing another WATC
A lot of the music on the Flash Gordon album, although great in the film, isn't great to listen to IMO.

I "hate" only one song: See What A Fool I've Been (B-Side Version).
The perfect SWAFIB version would be the instrumental of the B-Side and the vocals from the BBC version.

Kinda hard to pick one... The Looser In The End? Jesus? Don't Try Suicide? Blurred Vision? A Dozen Red Roses For My Darling? A Human Body? Not easy...

There was some lack of direction on Jazz and a lot of filler in the 80s, but most of that ultimately comes down to personal taste. I even find most of Hot Space to be listenable, as every song does have some kind of redeeming value. Even Body Language, for it is proof that Mercury could have sung the Chinese phone book and it would've sounded great.
The one and only unarguably downright horrible Queen song is Man on the Prowl. It represents everything that was wrong with Queen in the 80s.
The track is completely derivative of Crazy Little Thing Called Love. No song exemplifies Queen as being followers and no longer leaders more than this one. And its subject matter is basically what tore the band apart - Mercury's interests being on the gay scene rather than his craft. And of course, this is ultimately what took him.
And, as learned from a recent interview with Mack, Mercury probably didn't even hang around for the final mixing session.
All of this - a far cry from what they were a decade earlier.
Considering how bad things were for the band behind the scenes around this time, it's amazing to think they made any good music at all.

In Only Seven Days, More Of That Jazz...

Wow. In Only Seven Days is one of my all-time favorite Queen songs. Funny how that works out.
How about tracks fans hate that you happen to love? That'd be one. Then add Delilah, My Baby Does Me, Rain Must Fall and Pain Is So Close To Pleasure.

I never understood why people dont like FWBF, its a nice song. Its not their best but its not the worst.
RMF and MBDM are some tracks that I love, very nice ones in my opinion.
As for the worst song, to me, its TLITE: Cheesy lyrics, horrible music, Roger's vocals sounds as if he was trying way too hard to get the proper sound. Such a great album that suddendly breaks its atmosphere with that song.
There are other songs I dont like, but at least they make sense in the context of the album (like cool cat)

For me its "Mother Love" & "These are the days of our lives" both songs so painful and sad to listen too,
i guess that was the main reason why i refused to purchase "Queen Forever".
