A holiday romance. Sigh! You're not supposed to see her again. Lol!
I guess it wouldn't be as effective of a lyric, if the last few lines were "but I'll see her again soon, so its ok" .......ha...........

Even Body Language, for it is proof that Mercury could have sung the Chinese phone book and it would've sounded great.

That's how you distinguish talent. Let's see Celine Dion attempt the Chinese phone book! ha!

There are a lot of songs I disliked the at the first listen, but I grew to like them after a few more times (or listening to the live versions). That's just the magic of Queen, I guess.
As for songs I still dislike (I haven't come across a Queen song worth hating):
"See What a Fool I've Been" (B-side version) - Freddie's vocals are seriously creepy, in my opinion. The live and BBC versions are much better.
"The Loser In the End" - It probably wouldn't be as bad had it been placed elsewhere, though.
"Funny How Love Is" - The repetitiveness is annoying enough, but the fact that a masterpiece such as "Black Queen" segues into it only amplifies the badness of it in contrast.
"She Makes Me" - ...doze off.
"Drowse" - Mission accomplished, Roger.
"More of That Jazz" - Not sure why.
"Sail Away Sweet Sister" - Yes, please sail away...
"Coming Soon"
"Body Language"
"Machines" - This is pretty much the only one on The Works I don't like at least to some extent, which may surprise some people.
Everything on The Miracle except for "I Want it All", "The Invisible Man", "Breakthru", and "Scandal". All the rest is pretty bleh to me.
Innuendo is pretty forgettable, but there's not a lot on there I dislike (besides "Delilah"--there are two songs about cats in the Queen catalog, and this is not the better of them).
Truth be told, I haven't listened to the last three albums enough to dislike anything that much.
Snap! This isn't a popular opinion here, haha.
Bring it on...
Just because I'm new here doesn't mean I'm a pushover. :)

I grew up on my parents' GHI & GHII records but some of the songs that endeared me to Queen have been overplayed all over the place to my detriment.
Don't Stop Me Now, We Are The Champions, Another One Bites The Dust even Bo-Rap - all fantastic songs but when I hear them now I feel nothing. I guess the only song of that ilk to still stir up appreciative feelings for me is Under Pressure.

I adore More of That Jazz and Dancer! :-)
Friends Will Be Friends is one of my all-time least favorites. As is One Year of Love.

man, this is the ultimate example of how personal tastes can vary from one fan to another. I would expect anything, even Bo Rhap but I Want It All... One of my top 3 songs and the greatest hard -rock song I've ever heard is in a fan's hate list.

'I Want It All' and "everything else on 'The Miracle'"? Each to their own and all that, but wow..........!!

Of course not. I'd be interested to hear your reasons more in depth though. I love it, and I think the dreary, dreamlike tone fits the idea of the song perfectly.

I love Drowse as well, but I can see why people dislike it. I think it should have been saved for News of the World. It doesn't seem to fit on A Day at the Races.

Well I started listening to Queen in 75 and much prefer the early stuff, I love things like Drowse and Stormtroopers in Stilletos. Miracle is even worse in my opinion than Hot Space. I don't own either the Miracle or Made in Heaven. Innuendo was a good return to form.

I don't consider I Want it All to be hard rock. Son and Daughter, Stone Cold Crazy, Great King Rat - that's hard rock.
