yes i play drums, so your completely wrong about me, and i do not care a fig what you all think of me, i have my own musical tastes,
so if i think Floyd, Rush, etc,,,,, are not worthy then that is my business and no one on here has a right on here to criticize me.
I actually like the best groups, Beatles, Queen, Abba, The Sweet, Toto, Boston, all better than Rush, Floyd etc.........
Now go and choke on that twigglet lol

Yes I agree 100% with this. Because Rush are far superior musicians than Queen and write and perform far more complex music with far deeper and more thought provoking lyrics (most of the time) than Queen ever have or could.

I noticed you mentioned you are a drummer, I'm surprised from a musical/technical point you fail to see the vast distance between RT and Neil Peart.

Yes we all love interminable drum solos, the defining aspect of musicianship.

Queen have plenty key and tempo changes in songs at times, whilst retaining pop sensibility and rock energy, exemplified in seemingly throwaway songs like Bicycle Race.

Id suggest in terms of melody and harmony Queen are superior, assuming that falls under "musicianship".

Lets create a new Forum category - Better Bands than Queen , and such matters can be discussed there.

I am quite capable of seeing the difference between Neil Peart and Roger Taylor, for me Rogers style is way ahead of Pearts as it is more of a clear cut sound, not too heavy
plenty of cymbals which gives Taylor his trade mark sound.
I just play drums, plain and simple like any other drummer on the planet!

i tell the truth as it is, and the fact is Queen are a more accomplished band than Rush, they had Freddie Mercury for gods sake, and that takes some beating.
Queen are also "Record Collectors" number one group, because everyone just loves them.
Rush are just a run of the mill rock group, Queen are rock royalty, this makes them extra special ( especially when all four were together).If you can not get that into your thick heads then get off the site your no Queen fan.
