Facts The numbers do not lie Queen are the World's leading Rock Band, and Freddie is regularly polled as the leading vocalist in the Rock/Pop category. So what is your issue? Small Man Syndrome?

Okay, if you narrow it down to 'rock bands', they're fifth......behind the Beatles, Zep, Floyd, and AC/DC.....


By no means am I trying to be negative about Queen here.....they're (obviously!) my favorite musical artist of all time.....I just realize they're not quite the biggest thing in the universe....

(actually I'm surprised they're ahead of the Stones!)

I would say they are equal to, but not better. In fact it could be argued that there are musicians in all those bands who are better then any member of Queen.

okay, that's just your opinion.....I mean, who are you (or me or anyone else here) to judge exactly how talented bands such as that are? and I think there's more to it then citing how Freddie constantly tops polls for the greatest singer of all time.......there's songwriting talent, showmanship, etc, etc.......(both of which Freddie, and the rest of Queen in the case of songwriting, had in spades)

Heck, I could argue that Rush is a more 'talented' band than Queen......Geddy Lee and Neil Peart both frequently top polls for the greatest bassist and drummer, respectively......(but they're still only my 2nd favorite band....hehe)

I really try not to be insulting........I just totally disagree with most of what gerry says.............

Beatles, Stones, Zep, Rush, etc better musicians than Queen, your having a laugh.
No one is greater than Brian May & Freddie is an outrageously amazing vocalist, and John Deacon is a very versatile Bass player and Finally
Rogers drumming is second to none, a water tight four piece rock outfit, that knocks spots off everyone else around and rightly so.
Queen blew everyone of those artists away at "Live Aid" and that included all the rest in the states!
