No - I totally feel the same way as Thomas Quinn, it's in the past now for me I only enjoy the old stuff and still feel they are acting as a tribute act to themselve's... But can understand how the younger audience who never saw Queen can enjoy this.

I love the way people say they gave up on Queen years ago and hate everything past 91, yet they are still here posting almost every day???? go figure, If I had lost interest in something 25 years ago not sure I'd be posting much.... maybe it's me?
I think, for those people, it's a matter of still being interested in everything that occurred before '91, not having suddenly stopped being interested in Queen altogether on January 1 1992.
Considering a huge portion of the discussion here is based on the band's original run, I don't see anything contradictory about those people posting here.

I'm not sure, I think I actually wouldn't go.

Thought about it some more, I think I would've gone. Better than another night on the couch, I guess.

How depressing has this site become!?
Just go or don't go, who gives a shit, I'd rather all the bloody nae Sayers stay away and wallow in nostalgia and leave all us open minded fans to have a great night enjoying a very well produced show full of great musicians who just want keep enjoying what they do. I Saw QPR 3 times, I've see QAL 3 times and enjoyed them all in different ways. I never got to see Freddie, John, Roger and Brian perform together ( apart from on film) but I don't cry about it! I enjoy what I can while I have the chance. But that's my choice.

I'm interested in the 1971-1991 period, and I'm glad to keep posting, reading, writing and learning about it, the same way a palaeontologist remains interested in creatures that became extinct long before any human-like creature ever drew breath.
Surely there can't be much on Queenzone that you can learn about the 71-91 period that you don't already know Seb?
This was not really aimed at you as such, I just am so fed up with reading posts about how much people hate what Brian and Roger are doing... enough already, mostly it seems to be a few of the usual sad 13 year old's alone in their bedrooms with no mates who have to post every five mins that Queen are dead...
Judging from the recent concerts it would appear they are fair from it, I have to say i haven't seen Brian enjoying himself so much in many many years, the recent gigs have been every bit as powerful and exciting as the Freddie days and I was there for both! They are sounding and playing with the same passion they did in the 70's frankly
2006 was pretty good, 2008 was not great, but this time around they are awesome live. If you miss it you are missing something special (IMO) I felt like I was 17 again and seeing them back in the day.
But i respect your views, you don't bleat on about it all the time which is why I rarely post here much these days. As that's all I see here, then funny enough the tour sells out and gets amazing reviews so it would seem the few naysayers on Queenzone spouting endlessly they are now crap would be somewhat outnumbered...

Ticket prices in Toronto were super expensive, especially if we compare to a band like Muse, which is on top of the world and charges less. At that price level I would not see them with AL. They would be better off doing a live show (guitar + drums) and playing Freddie's voice from a live concert playback. I would see that, unfortunately they are too old to keep up with the tempo from 30+ years ago.
Really tho? Reverse karaoke?? It's cool when it's done like that for the parts of BoRhap and LOML as a tribute to Freddie, but over a whole show? Like Brian said, a concert should be 'live and dangerous' (which is kind of a silly way to put it, but I think I know what he means....)
I'd honestly rather see a Queen concert with Brian and Roger handling all the lead vocals.......or watch an old dvd or listen to an old bootleg......than see a 'half-live' concert....
Allow me to rephrase: would I see BM and RT play by themselves? yes. Would I see BM, RT + ? no. I am fine with hearing an all instrumental concert from those two. As far as I am concerned, the audience could fill in for the lead singer.

Well, I'm sure if it was Brian and Roger as Queen, with no singer, they would be doing vocals themselves......(which I would have no problem with).......having them play and letting the audience fill in the vocals? Don't think that'd work, either.......
So there's absolutely no one you'd like to see singing with them? Or you just dont like the idea of them having a new singer?

Queen might as well be invisible since Adam Lambert gets all the praise and limelight and why?
Silly screaming girls who do not give a fig about May & Taylor but just want to swoon over Lambert!
Queen's greatest days are long behind them, and now its just horsing around with anyone taking vocals, you can not take Queen seriously now.

Gerry it's over Freddie's Mum and sister approve of they approve then I'm reasonably sure all of your arguments are now in the toilet. They are Freddie's family if you need the opinions of anyone it should be theirs

If Mary went to a show would that change your mind?

I do not care who goes to see this ridiculous show it is crap end off.
Queen have humiliated themselves now big time, instead of leaving well alone and be proud of what they were with Freddie,
but no Brian in all his glory has destroyed what was once a classy, incredible Rock group with an awful american big headed mary.
