Well yeah, you're going to get complete bastards in every topic (pretty much), judging from the rest of this forum and about a decade of experience on here. Sometimes, those trolling responses are a good excuse to poke fun at the person who wrote them, if they're not, I say just ignore them (gerry...). There are a number of meaningful responses, let's stick with those and the people who want to discuss the topic with a degree of sanity and leave the wankers to get ulcers and carpal tunnel syndrome. Don't take them seriously - I know their mothers don't, and you don't have to put up with them living in your basement, do you now?

There is quite a lot of folk on here who like me dislike Adam Lambert as he has destroyed Queens gracious magic.
why would i waste money and watch a 32 year old man screech and ponce around the stage like something from Keith Lemons celebrity juice show?
When my money gets spent i want the real deal not fake second rate karaoke crap.
To all you people who think i have not studied Lambert in great depth well you are all wrong because i have.
My conclusion is your all getting ripped off big time.
Many people on here have already stated that todays Queen shows are not as good as in Freddies days.
Why would anybody want to see a worse quality show than the massive shows Queen were well known for in the 70s and 80s? call me all you want guys but i know when something is brilliant and when something is shit.
Queen today are shit without Freddie.

There is a vast difference between not liking something and calling it shit because you don't like it. I never liked Michael Jackson but I never said to anyone that he wad shit because I didn't like him. You seem incapable of forming an adult opinion.
You should go and have a discussion about how shit you think this tour is, how bad you think Lambert is and how Queen are disrespecting Freddie's memory with Freddie's mother and sister who were both at the Nottingham gig and enjoyed it!
As far as the size of the show goes, since you've mentioned it, it's the biggest Arena production Queen have ever toured with. As far as audiences go, in the UK it's their most successful arena tour, and in fact in the UK and Europe only the Magic tour sold more tickets. World wide this tour had sold better than Hot Space!
I think your real problem is quite simply that if you didn't mind Paul Rodgers fronting the band (less successfully) then it's simply that because of your infatuation with Freddie you can't stand seeing another gay man stand on stage and make such a good job of doing so.

Queen have lowered there standards, they use to be a massive stadium rock act.
They have gone from Stadiums at the peak of there career to arenas now.
Adam Lambert only has one thing in common with Freddie and that is sexuality, but even freddie was never that girly on stage.
i never liked Paul Rodgers singing with Queen but now if i had a choice i would choose him over Lambert.
Queens Hot Space Tour was not really a lengthy tour but it did at least sell out.
As i said before Mercurys sister and mother are far too well mannered to oppose anything Brian May puts in front of them.
They will well know that there brother and son was the best fronting Queen, any decent fan knows that.
This is a discussion page and if everybody agreed with everybody else for the majority of the time then it would not be a discussion page would it.
i have my well founded opinions you have your beliefs so they you go.
My tastes in Queen are in a higher class to yours, but thats ok, accept the hype, in 5 years time you will say Gerry was right.

Queen only toured Stadiums in South America 81 and Europe 86. They did play other stadium/ out door dates such as Leeds and Milton Keynes and Rock In Rio but most of their tours from the mid 70's were Arenas. And in fact two of the biggest shows they've plaice were with Paul Rodgers (Cosmos Rocks) and with Adam Lambert in 2012.
The Hot Space tour wasn't short, it ran from May till the end of the year covering UK, Europe the States and Canada and then Japan. Leeds and Milton Keynes were not a a sell out. In fact Milton Kynes sold 45000 out of a possible 60000 tickets. Many American dates didn't sell out, although they couldn't be described as selling badly.
So the current tour is very much in keeping with what has gone before as far as sales and production goes.
As for Freddies sister, she wouldn't sit through a two hour show and respond favourably if she didn't think it was worthy

Holy crap, that last sentence is sheer pomposity.....I didn't think it was possible, but you've outdone yourself, congratulations!
You have 'well founded opinions', while the rest of us have 'beliefs', eh? Wow........
Do you really REALLY think that anyone here is saying Adam's BETTER than Freddie? If you don't answer anything else from this post, answer that one........

To be honest vocal harmony said the Adam/Queen gigs had out sold the Hot Space tour so yeah i think he is in defence of Lambo,
he may even fancy the cretin.
Something odd going on here with vocal harmony because he at every chance defends Adam Lambert, and even though there is evidence of some
on here who like me do not approve of such a ridiculous set up of Queen playing with a complete tosser, he never moans at them with his posts.
i am the easy option to attack because its Gerry and people love to have a pop at truth and honesty.
At least i will never spend my hard earned money on reality show dweep, i got more sense than that.
No matter what anyone on here says about me i am true to my word that i AM an ardent Queen fan, when Queen were a group and not a circus tribute act
like they are today.
A 32 year old screecher touring with 2 old age pensioners is cool right?

Gerry, if the ticket sales don't back up your argument it's not really down to me!
As you say people love to have a pop at truth and honesty, don't you.
To answer your snide comment about me fancying Lambert. . . . There's nothing wrong with the ship you sail in but I'm not a member of it's crew so no I don't!
I see you have returned to basics at the end of your post by dragging out more insults. Well done.

I'm really trying to help you here, ya know.........
It's not your opinions themselves I think most people have a problem with......its just the arrogant pompous narrow-minded ill-stated manner in which you put them forth....

You've nailed it, I think. But I would add to that the relentless over stating of the subject in so many different threads.

no not at all its the way you read my comments, you probably have not got the right tone when your reading them lol
By the way nothing wrong with a bit of pomp, didn't do Fred any harm!

This whole thing is somewhat the same as the Dream Theater 'camp'. Many dropped off when Portnoy left. So be it. I miss his onstage persona and the added energy he provided, but the band seems relaxed, are enjoying themselves, as are those at their concerts.
I totally understand those who chose move on. And I understand those who won't see the Queen+ gig. At least those who aren't obsessive, continue to beat their dead horse, hijack every thread, and make it all about me,me,me,me. We got it months ago.
Hell, I miss seeing baseball at Tiger Stadium. I don't wake up every day ranting and raving about it ad nauseum on their message boards, just because people like their new(er) park.

Not just South America:
09.10.1981: University Stadium in Monterrey, Mexico (Mexico's not in South America).
17.10.1981: Baseball Stadium in Puebla, Mexico (Mexico's not in South America).

His point stands though - the notion of Queen excelling mainly as a 'stadium rock band' is nonsense in my opinion. Watching Freddie move in time with the music, in his white Zandra Rhodes costume, and on a fairly small stage, is just as enthralling if not more so than watching him run from one end of an enormous stage to the other.

Sure, I'm not debating that, I'm just asking for more accuracy: either those two dates in Mexico were forgotten (hardly believable considering how infamous the second one was) or the awful mistake of placing Mexico in South America was made... and it is indeed quite awful since it is akin to saying Pakistan is sandwiched between England and Wales.
