I do not care who goes to see this ridiculous show it is crap end off.
Queen have humiliated themselves now big time, instead of leaving well alone and be proud of what they were with Freddie,
but no Brian in all his glory has destroyed what was once a classy, incredible Rock group with an awful american big headed mary.

Was that a derogatory term directed at Adam? That isn't cool

yes it was and to be honest he is embarrassing to watch.
he turns my stomach every time and you get to wonder to yourself what the hells that on stage, if you know you can have it!
I am a massive ardent Queen fan and to see them go from hero to zero is a shock!
May knows they are going to fizzle, but it was his fault for been so stupid to reinvent the group again.

Allow me to rephrase: would I see BM and RT play by themselves? yes. Would I see BM, RT + ? no. I am fine with hearing an all instrumental concert from those two. As far as I am concerned, the audience could fill in for the lead singer.
Well, I'm sure if it was Brian and Roger as Queen, with no singer, they would be doing vocals themselves......(which I would have no problem with).......having them play and letting the audience fill in the vocals? Don't think that'd work, either.......
So there's absolutely no one you'd like to see singing with them? Or you just dont like the idea of them having a new singer?

those shoes are just much too big to fill.

Gerry, did you actually go to a show? As in, did you pay your money and buy a ticket?

I'd rather all the bloody nae Sayers stay away and wallow in nostalgia and leave all us open minded fans to have a great night
So whoever doesn't want to go is a 'bloody nae (sic) sayer' wallowing in nostalgia and whoever wants to go is openminded, right?
Wrong!
Plenty of people who want to go are open minded, plenty of people who don't want to go are also open minded; plenty of people who want to go are narrow-minded and plenty of people who don't want to go are also narrow-minded.
Not everyone who wants to go is the ultimate role model, and not everyone who doesn't want to go is a bloody naysayer living in the past.

Surely there can't be much on Queenzone that you can learn about the 71-91 period that you don't already know Seb?
On the contrary, there's plenty. What I know about the 1971-1991 period is remarkably minimal compared to what I don't know.
Togg wrote:
As that's all I see here, then funny enough the tour sells out and gets amazing reviews so it would seem the few naysayers on Queenzone spouting endlessly they are now crap would be somewhat outnumbered...
Good reviews don't guarantee that something is good, the same way bad reviews don't guarantee something is bad. A lot (not all) of those reviews are done by and for ignorant people anyway.
Those who like this collab: Ace!
Those who hate it: Ace!
Those who either like it or hate it or anything in between and respect those who disagree: Ace!
Those who try to persuade others to agree with their POV, whichever it might be, and/or belittle those who think differently: Eff off!

No, he didn't......he probably watched 30 seconds of a video clip and decided that was enough for him to be the ultimate authority on the artistic merit or lack thereof of Adam Lambert....(never mind that some people like him, their opinions are worth nothing)

Yeah, I would go. Without a doubt.

Queen might as well be invisible since Adam Lambert gets all the praise and limelight and why?
Silly screaming girls who do not give a fig about May & Taylor but just want to swoon over Lambert!
Queen's greatest days are long behind them, and now its just horsing around with anyone taking vocals, you can not take Queen seriously now.
I'm pretty sure some Lambert fans even go in expecting it to be Lambert as an opening act, then 'Queen' doing their thing. That was definitely the impression a lot of people were giving on FB when the Australian tour was announced (though vocal Queen fans on the FB page are generally notoriously stupid).
Still, I think the majority of people attending these things are Queen fans.

If I could find my post from when the Queen+AL tour was announced, it went something along the lines of 'well, I'm going as a way of saying 'this will be the last chance to see Brian and Roger..... thanks for the great memories.' No excitement, no rah-rah feelings, no anything.
Then I saw some youtube bits with the volume cranked up. Read what friends had to say. Damn, this is going to be way better than I thought.
Madison Square Garden was electric. So was Meriweather Pavilion. As good or better than the Q+PR first American show in New Jersey. Loads better than the following tour, when 1/4 of the seats were covered.
Q+AL wasn't at good as the Queen concerts I saw from '74 to '82 (only U2 at The Silverdome, and Springsteen at Joe Louis rate as equals) . I had a better time than expected. My wife loved it. We were able to share an 'event' with friends. It provided some great memories, and made us feel young again for a night or two.
And it re-kindled my interest in Queen.
So, it was a worthwhile experience.

If I read between the lines here, you define every answer that isn't "Hell yeah, I'm going to see them because it's GREAT" as "hate".
If you're going to ask a question about a controversial topic, you should expect to get answers you might not agree with.

yes looking at it it looks that way.it wasnt ment to be...there are a number of people who say in a straightforward way that this not for them..fair enough....there are others who just want to slag and be rather rude about the complete thing...maybe looking back it should have been better worded.
