I'm disappointed. I thought QP would include the whole Budokan show, or at least new footage.

If this is not QPL it means that this is not QPL.
You know QPL never do as hungry fan wants.

If you ask me, Budokan deserves an standalone release, if they have the whole show in video it should be the last great release of Queen, to go out with a bang, and to that point we (thankfully) will have to wait years.

The problem with the '79 gig as a stand alone is they've spunked the best title for it on this. A Night At The Odeon II? A Christmas Wish? Queen Do A Lot Of Work For Chariiiidy? I dunno.

Am I the only one who is grateful that they're NOT including the 1979 concert? I mean that would make even less sense than adding Live Aid to Montreal 81

But you're right!
Let's hope they do it right when they compile a 1979 box. Including the complete Hammersmith '79 show is the less they can do.
For 1979 I expect a couple complete shows from both the Live Killers and Crazy tour :-) :-) :-) (I know: dream on! :-)
Regarding this release: didn't Ghostwithasmile say the soundcheck was filmed and to be included. Let's see whether this turns out to be the case! I'm still hoping :-)

I'm with you.... The Live Killers boxset would be great to see in 2019( I hope earlier of course)
* Hammersmith concert 1979/ or Paris 1979
* Parts of Paris/ Munchen/ Madrid etc. EXTRA's
* Live concert from Newcastle (Freddie's voice in great shape)
* Documentary/ Soundchecks Rotterdam/ Munchen
* Interview from Tokyo or else

^ Don't mess Live Killers Tour and Crazy Tour for one product.

I'd love a DVD of Japan '75 too, but let's face the reality that if any more footage was around, it would be included. Hangman, Great KIng Rat live......drool. Alas, it seems not. Let's move on.

I don't understand those of you asking to include the 1979 show as part of the bonus material. The 1979 Hammersmith show is an independent concert from a different era which doesn't belong to this release, except for the fact that both events took place in the same venue and on/around Christmas Day. It should be released separately as a standalone release, even if its sound quality is downright poor. And anyone who thinks it's not going to be released, because of lack of titles and because a title which could have been used for the 1979 show has already been used for this upcoming release, is not of this world.

You are wasting your time. Fans here wont be happy, it could include everything they ask and they will still want more.

I'm pretty sure that if 'A Night at the Odeon' IS to be the next Queen release, Keep Yourself Alive would be split into three different tracks much like the Rainbow release

Obviously, the DVD/Blu-ray omit the following tracks:
17. Seven Seas Of Rhye 03:11
18. See What A Fool I've Been 04:22
There would be a PR sooner than later, with full details on the box set - which looks promising...
