And furthermore, I've added a piece of the Bob Harris intro from the Looking Back at the Odeon documentary to Now I'm Here on the official release, cross-fading the two together:

https://mega.nz/#!Ug8lWBQS!ZTUSvIcHm_IJWJkkQJJKeX4KQzzYJW4kmiga9H7vUjI

The former is in mono sound, but it's definitely the same mix.

It's silly that they cut this for the official release, and they even cut the audience reaction by about 5 seconds before Brian starts playing - but again, these are the same people that arbitrarily cut Mercury's speech before Staying Power on Live At The Bowl.

So yeah, it's not quite as complete as I thought it was.

The Bob Harris speech is in stereo on the Blu-ray, I will be happy to post it if you want? Goodness knows why the documentary is in mono on the DVD but this is QPL we are talking about!

My rip of the documentary has mono sound, but I'm not sure if the original is mono. So if you could post a WAV file of that little bit, that'd be fab.

Yes, the documentary on the official DVD has mono sound but the same documentary on the Blu-ray has stereo sound? I have given up trying to figure out why QPL do these things!

Yes - thank you !

Here's my revised version:

https://mega.nz/#!B5EURCKB!6tuizWdwT3TXUf4Ig6pLvKd0vtn3pzQzAJGsrxn8O1g

No cross-fade necessary this time - just a clean cut and paste now.

Indeed, the decision making processes at QPL remain baffling, to say the least.

Great!

And... if only we had a say in the decisionmaking...

It seems we are almost compelled to reverse engineer virtually every Queen product in some way these days.

I really hope that if they do release Hyde Park/Earls Court/Houston/Hammy, don't come up with strange cuts like this.

Simple answer Queen need to employ the people who look after Pink Floyd's achieve and make their release decisions!

^ Floyd's Early Years release is very far from perfect, so it's not a good example of good employment.

It seems the two people they had capable of such things no longer work for them.

QPL didn't release more of the Hammersmith 75 soundcheck because they thought most people would find it boring.

They've made up their minds. They're just not interested.

They've been playing to "most people" since 1980, and we really need to accept it.

True. But it still destroys any archival product Queen have ever released.

Who are the two people who don't work for them anymore?

GT announced his resignation recently, and we haven't heard a thing from Rhys Thomas in years.

It's a shame the last Rhys Thomas documentary was never released, it may well of contained a few nice extras.
