Would the MJ estate have picked the same song if they would have released an album at the same time? Or do they not want to have a great product on an none MJ album?
They couldn´t care less about quality or music! Just read the controversy on the MJ posthumous album "Michael" on wikipedia and you´ll understand why.

Yep. It was a terrible project. Given how several REAL songs were rejected beforehand (*a few were subsequently leaked) it's pretty embarrassing how bad it all turned out.

Particularly the first single. Michael never referred to himself in the third person.

The cut and paste jobs of the others were pretty horrible too. (*and not Michael on verses like "KEEP YOUR HEAD UP") ... drowsy dull delivery. Just garbage.

^ BoHardy. That's exactly what I said. In the other versions that were leaked it was "veev" in this it's "vie".

You just reiterated what I'd said. Maybe a slight case of being misread.

Whatever the case it's great to hear
Sorry Matt. I didn't read your post closely enough. You're absolutely right.

I'm just glad somebody else picked up on that. It's always bugged the hell of out of me that he says "vive" and not "vie", but until now it's never come up!

Yeah. And according to accounts, Quincy Jones whileworkingon the album soundtrack THE WIZ had overheard Michael pronounce Socrates as something like soh crates or something like that. That initial discussion gave Quincy the nerve to bug him about producing (a POP star) album

I would love to hear Brian and Roger comment on this. This just frustrates me

With that considered the fact remains that the Jacksons did veto a version of TMBMTLTT that Roger was pretty vocal about preferring to the version they were 'allowed' to release.

Wouldn't it be cool if this version was the template for the unheard official version...

Somebody mail Brian and see if he bites on his soapbox.
Arse.

^an account of the Socrates thing.

He was an insulated youth, insulated young adult and an insulated man.

Yeah. I remember Bill & Ted's excellent adventure. Something about Bee'thuvvin.

And Socrates with the analogy "dust in the wind"
