I wouldn't be surprised knowing QPL if we don't jjust get a 're release of Queen at the Beeb. Are we not going to get Hyde Park this year? I read it on here that we aren't going to get a live release this year. The BBC recordings aside, that would be another major disappointment.
I'm sure there will be some sort of release to mark 30th anniversary since Freddie's last live appearance and also Freddie's birthday, I'm pretty sure we'll get some live release..............I hope!
So ... we will instead of Hyde Park we're getting the BBC sessions which were first announced in 1995?

No Hyde Park this year.
Damned.

I would personally quite like a restoration of the BBC stuff. Like Ogre Battle from BBC '73 was really poorly mixed and is almost unlistenable to me now.
Golders Green was the first show of the first real Queen tour, so is something.

Also if QP is finally decided to release live albums "only" in audio, is good news. Imagine the posibilities.
Can anyone say for sure that there will or will not be a live release this year???? Having TWO anniversaries around the corner i hope they do give us something worth getting this year
so we'll get autotuned BBC?

Haha. Wouldn't it be a shame?
"Come tonight! Come see the Overbite! Come to Ogre Battle, FIGHT!"
I think someone in another thread said there will be two products that come out towards the end of the year. So hopefully one product is whatever they are doing with the BBC material and the other product will be another live release.
I think that the other product will be something about freddie's solo career. 25th anniversary of his death and 70th birthday...
Queen is the best
It's also 30th years anniversary of "last Queen concert" and 40th years of "historic" Hyde Park concert. I wanna hope Queen Productions doesn't skip this gigs...
Get your head down baby - we're gonna ride tonight...
It is amazing given that QP do keep tabs on what fans say, that they still hold back from releasing a 70's gig that would sell in large amounts (compared to a BBC session recording) I dont understand what they are thinking? sure it will be slightly interesting to hear old BBC recordings, but what wrong with releasing a NOTW era gig or Hyde Park?

Led Zep's BBC sessions are legendary, why not?
