I am selling one on eBay but i would like to swap it for different promo materials from Queen on Air.
Does anyone has some more promo items? Please let me know.
Thanks!

Session 3 is sourced from 16/48.

Interesting... Do you have a source for that fact?

Esta es la fuente:
http://www.e-onkyo.com/music/album/uml00602557264968

"Thank you. I did not think to look at Onkyo ... It was usually I who was the liaison between Onkyo and QPL. I have not worked on QueenOnline since January of this year."
Google Translate is a wonderful thing....

Session 3 is sourced from 16/48.
However, like the 2011 remasters, 24/96 "masters" were created as the output files and it's these which are being offered for sale online.
But even that is bollocks as the Sessions 3 tracks all have the same 21khz low pass filter as the original Beeb release. That confirms that it's basically a rip of the original CD, not taken from any higher quality source.

Barely ever post around here anymore, but...
Happened to notice today that there's a slight difference in Fred's vocals in SWAFIB when compared to the 2011 version on Queen II.
It concerns the start of the first verse, about 32s in after the intro, on the line 'I caught a train'...
Queen II: he sings "I caught a train" with a nice steady tail off on 'train'.
Queen On Air: the 'I' from 'I caught' seemingly doesn't actually exist, and at the end of 'train' Fred goes up!
I actually really loved the brightness on the 2011 version, especially the drums which sounded fantastic. But it's interesting to know that they seemingly made a couple of fixes to it. I'm keen to listen to more carefully to the rest of SWAFIB and the other 2011 tracks to see what other little nuances and differences the (seemingly "more authentic") On Air versions have for us!

^ there's only one BBC remix on 2011 reissues. And indeed it features different vocals in places. All other BBC tracks from 2011 reissues are original mixes.

If you'd seen what I wrote MUCH earlier, I postulated that same theory!

Not like the Floyd box... poor Pink Floyd fans, they even get a live unoboxing and explanation of the sources used (multitracks, monos etc..) and Nick Mason that answering fans' questions

In Classic Rock magazine Nick Mason said PF pondered if there was any point releasing different versions of songs and they concluded: "We may as well put it out. Because for the people who really want these sort of things, they can have it."

A band considering what their fans might actually want to hear when assessing possible releases? Get out of here with your silly ideas Mr Mason!!!

But if the BBC's logo is often present in this release then they must have at least tried to find the master tape of that session and look what can they do with it... Or maybe it was in that bad shape that they didn't even want to do anything with it ?
