Funny, I'd love to hear the BBC tracks unmixed. Please no studio corrections unless it's an issue with TAPE SPEED or cracks and HISS.

I'd hate to hear newly sourced audio added to it.
Fully agree. If they plan to do something like the 2011 version of See What A Fool I've Been they can add these as BONUS TRACKS to supplement the "untouched" versions
I can assure you, you'll like what they do, even if there will be a much-needed Studio correction.

Well, the title is pretentious as fuck, the cover is unsurprisingly awful and the mastering is probably going to be terribly compressed.

What's not to like?

Why everybody afraid of compressed sound?
I certainly understand that there are fans of the warm tube sound without the compression and other modern trends. But apparently without it anywhere.

Because each and every recent Queen related released have been compressed at best, and brickwalled at worst.

Digital compression simply butchers the sound and crushes audio dynamics. Hating it has nothing to do with prefering "the warm tube sound".

A one minute fact check regarding

http://www.freddiemercury.com/en/news/freddie-mercury-messenger-of-the-gods-the-singles

'I Can Hear Music' is not a Beach Boys cover. The Ronettes released the original two years earlier.

As to the 'what could have been' where I would have bought this. One can remove a LOMO remix, Let's Turn It On, Time [inst]. Use the extended versions of MIH and LMLTNT, add the LP or extended version of 'Barcelona', and the demo of 'Guide Me Home/How Can I Go On',

Yes, WE have all of these, but they should be on a 'best of'. The other additions to fill it out:

'Man Made Paradise': LP and demo (AND possibly a 'finished' version)

'....More To Life...: LP and Queen version (no MJ vocals)

'Time' and 'In My Defence': Dave Clark remasters.

'It's In Everyone Of Us' stage performace: polished.

Oh, and a different frickin' title.

^ Hey, it's the SINGLE COLLECTION, not a best of!

THAT's one of the two reasons why I'd change the title

Send them to ear specialists to get their hearing checked and fixed.
If their fondness of brickwalled noise continues, we send them to a psych ward :)

A lazy, ignorant factual error in a Queen release? You do surprise me!!!

Ummm, well cock me slowly back arse-wards I LOVE this release! I love the ideas and concepts behind it! I also love the title "Messenger Of The Gods: The Singles"! Seems perfectly titled as far as I'm concerned! Holy shit! It is fucking great! I also love the cover and the colors for it complimenting "The Album Collection" on vinyl as well as previous compilations such as "Greatest Hits II" and "Classic Queen"! (Perhaps that establishes what and how some compilation of some best ofs or hits for and by Brian May should be as well, eh?)

I also would like to point out that I also love the compilation "Lover Of Life, Singer Of Songs: The Very Best Of Freddie Mercury Solo"! Both this and the new compilation are totally legit! I love them! Man why do people keep looking for some Freddie Mercury compilation of his "short promotional films" (i.e.: "music videos") when there are already two released? One on "The Solo Collection" and the other one that compliments "Lover Of Life, Singer Of Songs: The Very Best Of Freddie Mercury Solo".

Is "Lover Of Life, Singer Of Songs: The Very Best Of Freddie Mercury Solo" really out of print?! Why? Just make more, duh!
