nazila... why would anyone call me ignorant or foolish when asking about Freddie's Indian roots? Both of his parents were born and raised in India, and he spent his formative years there. Persians have been in India for hundreds of years... as in the case of Freddie's history. Freddie's upbringing was Indian. Freddie's birth certificate even states him being "Indian" in nationality (http://www.mr-mercury.co.uk/Images/Birthcertificatefreddie.jpg). When he died, his mother went back to India with an exhibition of his life. There are many famous "Persians" (I use that term lightly) from India. Authors Rohinton Mistry & Firdaus Kanga, Persis Khambatta (former Miss India), and Maestro Zuben Metha are among them. In fact, my own history traces back to some Persian roots.

I was stating a TRUTH. There is nothing ignorant or foolish about that. I wasn't laying a judgement on him.

The title of this topic is "Freddie was gay???!!.....AIDS come from this way?". If your concern was about Freddie getting AIDS with intent, then why the questions about his sexuality?
