And there are people who think Earls Court is Queen's best performance.

not exactly - there are great performances
but earls court probably has the best sound quality....and the added nervousness of the band coupled with an interesting setlist makes it a great boot to have - but not their best performance
go deo na hÉireann The best QZ epoch: BG17-00 (Before Gerry 1996-2013)

Everyone fucks up on stage sometimes... if one or 2 mishaps = sucks then...

Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Mick Jagger (out of tune all the fucking time), Pete Townsend, Kiss (whole band sings like dog shit live), Pink Floyd (Gilmour's vocals only sound good live when compared to Waters), Lynyrd Skynyrd (always drunk), Creed (self explanitory), Pearl Jam (see Creed) , Ozzy Osbourne (can't quadruple track is weak voice live), and Steve Tyler all eat donkey balls.

I have seen footage of fuck-ups from these listed bands in the last 3 months.

I can't believe the Stones are touring again... for the last 20 years, live, Mick and Keif sound like they are playing 2 different songs...every song.

Yodeling was completely prohibited for rock/pop singers until Jewel came along...

...then it was OK to yodel as long as there were a nice pair of melons to look at.

Go wash your mouth, freddie sucked live??? The reason why Queen became so big was the larger than life perfomance freddie gave on stage. His voice is one of the finest in rock history.

It's great footage. A nice view on the ADATR tour and it is 2 hours of pure entertainment. Offcourse all in all. But not close to one of their best performances

Even Geddy Lee screwed up singing on stage. Waters wore headphones to sing in tune as of 1977 to sing in tune. Many artists would flub lyrics and such, even Robert Plant.
"Spread your wings and fly away, fly away, far away!", "No one makes me sing lullabies and no one makes me close my eyes"

I'll tell you about f**k ups. I have seen The Allman Brothers band more times than you can count.

Sometimes they are so f**king brilliant, you wish the concert would never end.

er...then you have times such as when Gregg Allman's voice was so hoarse or out of tune that you couldn't hear him,( or didn't WANT to) or they had ass wipe Johnny Neel in the band for about 2 years who played the siganture piano part of Jessica...

...on a crappy SYNTHESIZER that makes Hot Space sound like Beathoven...

...or the whole band was fighting and looked like they wanted to kill one another on stage, or the last time I saw them, when Dickey (the name is so fitting!) Betts was still with them and he was so drunk and stoned that he never played a lick on guitar the entire night and leaned on his amp while smoking.

THAT's when I stopped going to see them, at $40 bucks a ticket, quite some years ago.

i totally agree with Arlene R. Weiss and dymciril, everyonemakes mistakes, but Freddie was beyond......anyway it is not very decent talking bad things about a dead man, isnt it?

You bastards.

Freddie was the very definition of perfection! How dare you criticize him! YOU try getting up in front of thousands of people every night and try not to fuck up! Good lord, you'd think you people never sang in a rock band before! You should be burned alive at the stake! I hope you...

Eh, my sarcasm wore out.

Son, I think you need to have a drink.
Freddie was the first to aknowledge a bad show. if you listen to as many bootlegs as I have, you'll discover very quickly that some shows can be ssen as the "take the money and run" or if you prefer "Tonight I'm bored doing this again".

Every performer - if on long tours - can feel this. It's normal to be bored once in a while.

So, have a drink and don't take Freddie so seriousely.
with fish and bacon, please

Son, I think you need to realize I was being sarcastic and only mocking the inevitable sycophants who were going to come in and defend Freddie (edit: like our dear friend Sharon G. below me). I thought that was painfully obvious by my closing line.

I would have paid to watch Freddie stand and
recite the ABC's on stage.!!!!
