I like C-lebrity. It's one of Queen's heaviest songs and has some great guitar playing.
Maybe it will appear on the Queen+Paul Rodgers anthology. Together with some demo's and unreleased stuff...
It shouldn't be on the cd because it's a Queen+ song. For the same reason Somebody To Love by Queen+George Michael shouldn't be on it. The list has also a second version of The Show Must Go On. I can't see what version, but I suppose it's Queen+Elton John. The Bejart-version wasn't even a single. The FM-tribute version was only a b-side of an EJ single.
Overall, the tracklist and song order of Ultimate Greatest is irrelivant to me. It's only a collection of Queen songs in a different order. A attempt to reach a new public.
The contest is nice because there are cool prices to win

Oh, sorry. I forgot that Serious Discussions are based soley on the merit of popularity. Did you actually read my post or did you dismiss it out of hand because it's about a release you don't care for?
Dude, if you don't care about a subject, why bother replying?
Yes I actually read your post.
Why reply? To show I don't like ANOTHER shitty Queen release.

Give something like this and I'm gonna buy it. ;) The last Queen release I bought (and first one since Live At The Bowl) was The Cosmos Rocks, and that (along with other concerts from tours which haven't had a DVD release yet) is the kind of thing I'd expect from a band known for their amazing creativity. New songs, new experiments, rather than years and years of the same old crap.

As I have said in another thread, too many people are whinging for no good reason about this release.
If I had a friend or relative THat I wanted to get into Queen, then right now (in the UK) I would be hard pressed to know which disc(s) to buy.
I would not want to buy all three, or even two GH discs, and buying one would be a tiugh choice because of the great songs that will be untouched.
The idea of a worldwide release of a single disc 'best of' is gonna be good for that kind of situation.
Why do so many people here seem to see it as some kind of personal insult to them?
Just sit and wait for your 'specialist' products and in the mean time, stop spitting out your dummies, life and QPL does not revolve around you or me.
In the last year, there have been a numbe of releases, a new album, a live album/dvd, sngles collections, re-issued LPs, and now this is on it's way, as is The 75 concert.
What the hell do you people want? Blood?

I originally had a longer post here, but I just cut it down because the above post said it so eloquently.
Cheers!

I'm willing to bet a lot of fans got into Queen by way of a Hits-type release (for me it was Classic Queen). So pairing down the 3-disc Platinum Collection to a 1 disc Absolute Hits CD makes sense when you look at it like that.
My point exactly.
Three GH discs is not as accessable to 'new' potential fans and most countries do not have the multiple releases the US and Japan have.

Sorry guys, another pointless discussion. Let's all wait and see what it contains when it's released and we can all make up our minds whether or not we want to buy it.
There will also be four volumes of the Singles Collection released by then as well. QP would want to cop on a small fucking bit. There is a recesssion on and the last thing the public want is yet another compilation of tracks that they have already on countless formats.
Where are all the so called archive releases?

Let's stay on topic here, folks, we've covered *why* QP is putting this out. It's happening whether you want to it or not. If you don't want it, don't buy it.
I started the thread to talk about what Hits will be on it and why I think so.
Anyone not interested in this discussion take their whining for new releases to this new thread:
Track 11 is "Don't Stop Me Now,' which hit UK Top at #9
So, we've got:
i) We Will Rock You UK #2 (via "Champions," "WWRY" was never an A-side in the UK)
ii) We Are The Champions UK #2
iii) Radio Ga Ga UK #2
iv) Another One Bites The Dust UK #7
v) I Want It All UK #3
vi) Crazy Little Thing Called Love UK #2
vii) A Kind Of Magic UK #3
viii) Under Pressure UK #1
ix) One Vision UK #7
x) You're My Best Friend UK #7
xi) Don't Stop Me Now UK #9
I'll be the first to admit that I didn't guess DSMN would make it.

Track 20 will be Bohemian Rhapsody. The prize to win is Greatest Hits I, II and III on CD
rhyeking · Member since
Bohemian Rhapsody as track 20 is my guess as well.

Firstly, if you wanted to get a friend into Queen, you'd burn a CD. Secondly, you'd buy the Platinum Collection for half what this would sell for.
