Were you ever mocked at school for liking Queen?

Queen are gay champions of rock music. Seriously, after listening to the love songs by/of freddie, which are obviously true, if he is gay then he hid his homosexuality well. Such allegations only seem to be made by people envious of the musical prowess of Queen as individuals and as a group. They had barely even begun to scratch the surface of their huge musical talent and ability and potential, and yet even this little wetting of their feet has left behind such a rich legacy. Now that is a wealth and a treasure worth seeking, pillaging and plundering and looting and not just keeping but amassing, and the only way to do that is by making incredibly good music.

Growing up in the mid 80s Queen were uncool at the Scottish high school I went to. But then The Beatles were probably even less cool to be into, so in hindsight I realise what a load of bollocks music "cool factor" is.

Mocking someone's taste is a sign of insecurity though, so the more someone mocks, the more you can secretly laugh at their insecurity.

When I read the posts about homophobia in the US or Canada that surely must have hit sales among their target audience which was still broadly mainstream rock. Led Zeppelin or other bands who feature high on these certified sales lists posted by those wishing to denigrate Queen’s global status to spite other fans didnt have those issues. If we could take today’s more liberal social attitudes and somehow transport that into the 70s and 80s I wonder how much bigger Queen could have been.

posting Global sales figures isn't about denigrating anything. whenever, i've posted any - it's in the interests of accuracy. if an over-stating of Queen's sales figures is made and left unchallenged, these can quickly become "facts".

well, i doubt they'd have been as big as Zep (worldwide) for (maybe) three reasons:

>> Zep had five years head start and were at the peak of their powers when Queen came along. - so all there were, were comparisons early on.
>> Zep were an album band - the album buying public is seen as more grown up than the single buyers...and more importantly, album sales generate far more than singles sales. more income = more promotion = more income etc etc.
>> Grant was infinitely better at management than Sheffield was for Queen

Some time ago I had problems with studying, until I found a good tutor here https://studymind.co.uk/
With homeschooling, you can study in comfort. This gives you the flexibility to choose your preferred days and times for training. Students can also discuss time and days with their teacher. With online learning, learning any subject becomes pretty easy. Students can quickly gain control of their subject, which will also increase their effectiveness. The main advantage of this method is that it creates the best image of a student in his circle and among teachers, because he has already updated all his homework.
