Who's parting with their money for this new live release from Queen&AL ? I put it in the same category as "Return of The Champions." I will buy just for my collection but i really can't see me playing it very much at all.I have not seen the tracklisting but i would guess it will be a Greatest Hits run through,as is the norm these days.

it's kind of the "singer of songs..." release.
like it or don't.
well... i will spend some dimes to hear this release. that's because i'd like it to have some produced progression on the common YT-videos (which are great).
...
and before you spread some hate... c'mon... it's a matter of fact that this group of queen has two members less and a fixed addition... some additional musicians... yes...
not really a cover band .... but a worthy replacement on the singer/composer of THAT historical band. the chance to enjoy the music on a different point of view. a great one, because the vocalist has some ambition to enhance some songs.
.
if case you don't like it... ok... fair enough.
but i'm looking forewards to an official version of "love kills" ... maybe not love, but that very song kills by the terms of its composition (which works quite of similar as under pressure imho. ) ... a different point of view... of course... but anyway. ... some of us raised in the 80s/90s... and would even have killed for a further collaboration between BM and RT. well... STILL 20+ years ... they deliver... and do not have the worst of singers.
no matter if he hits your sense of "like".. . a working voice
worth to spend some dimes. worth to spend some listening at least.
i guess.

I'm holding my breath waiting for the Miracle Box set ... waiting ... gasp ...

Is it to much to ask for more than one release?

Last time I bought something "new" from Queen was when Paul sang with them. It was a DVD and the only reason was because I was on one concert.

mmm... not me. I think it will be the first "Queen" release i am not buying. Not sure they add much performing live anymore - better off listening to the greatest hits discs if you want to hear the "hits". And, their "live aid" set pales in comparison to the original. Albeit, they somehow think it is good.

Will never buy anything Adam Lambert related because he is not worthy of my money.
I think May & Taylor have a flop on there hands with this limp release and i hope they never ever release anything else with the dreaded Adam. He is one utter cheesy terribly American trash act.
Any respectful Queen fan should save there money for original Queen product that just feature the four deserving band members.

It might struggle to make it into the To 20 Albums on its release.I really don't know why they have duplicated the live aid set list as it only goes to show how far they have fallen.Surely Brian and Roger deep down know what a awful mess they have made of this band who i and millions of others held in such high regard. It is all just about the money now and any ounce of credibility is long gone.Hopefully next years live dates will be the last and AL can go and stand on his own and carry on with his career ?! Which might free Brian and Roger to work on some worthy Box Sets,Live Killers,The Game,The Miracle, which are long overdue.

I suspect they would disagree and truly believe everything's great. As for the release... Not sure, would be nice to snap it on some promo, instead of spending 20 quid on it this autumn, just to have a high-quality version of some of these songs (e.g. Love Kills and TSMGO are worthy attention). I never spent anything on QPR stuff though, I just couldn't get over his bluesy manner in Queen songs, even though it works for his Free/BC stuff.

Wasn't that also the norm back in 1986, with a few covers thrown in that took the place of a few original songs.

Why so many people go on about a greatest hits set list, it's nothing new with Queen and in fact they've played a far wider range of songs with Lambert than they did with Rodgers or Freddie ( on the Magic tour ).

The best of it is that Brian said that they had been listening back to some of the shows and they were "thrilled at how great they sounded !" I hope we are as thrilled as they are on October 2nd !
