With all due respect, this is the QAL section. Why are you on it?

With all due respect this site was originally started to talk about Queen Freddie,John,Brian and Roger. It has now been hijacked by Adam Lambert fan's who ram their opinion's of him at every opportunity. Why don't you go to one of the Glambert sites so you can praise your man with other deluded nincompoop's.Just one more thing after following Queen since I was nine ,I will be fifty seven next month I think I am entitled to my place on this site.I also started this particular thread.

With all due respect I've also been a fan since I was nine(ironically) starting with the NOTW album and will be 52 in a couple of months.
Adam's not "my man" btw, and never gave a whit about him before this collaboration but appreciate how he has helped Brian and Roger continue to perform live in the way that they want to. Seeing Brian and Roger live still at this late stage in their lives is something I treasure. Of the two shows I've seen in 2017 and 2019, I found them to be thoroughly entertaing and thought Adam was great in that context. I, especially, enjoyed the 2017 show but was disappointed that they had already dropped SYW and It's Late from the setlist by the time they got to Nashville. :(
I DO apologize for not noticing that you started this thread before responding to you. I've been a member of this site since 2010 which is long before the QAL collaboration so please understand that QUEEN(Freddie, Brian, Roger, John) have always been my first musical love since early 1978.

Freddie would not be proud. Adam is great but they rather be a tribute band playing the same old pieces forever...
Freddie would have left the band if they had told him to play only hits without any new music for a full decade.
''You guys got a great singer now. How can you be so boring playing only the music of my days in the band???? That is sad''

.Sorry folks for all the empty posts. That's what I get for posting on my phone as I thought the "edit button" was the "quote button".

This is indeed the Q+AL section, in which people talk about Queen+AL . If you don't like the band don't post. There are other sections on this site to talk about Queen.
Before you jump up and down, like your mate Gerry, this section used to be about Q+PR when they were current. None of us set the site up or run it, so just use it as its meant to be used and next time you want to go on the attack, line Gerry, and Mark people out as Lambert fans and not Queen fans. I've been a fan since buying Queen II on it's release, so why shouldn't I like what they do now?

Surely you would be better to go on a site which is dedicated to AL or join his fan club then you would not get the criticism that you can't comprehend and you could all say how great he is.

I'm not an Adam Lambert fan. He is fronting Queen, therefore I use the section of this Queen discussion board to talk about what Queen are currently doing.
As I said this section was put up so that people with an interest in what they are currently doing could discuss those things. No one has hi jacked this site.
You have no interest in. And don't like what they are doing, that's fine, plenty of fans do. So why don't you stay on the Queen threads instead of coming on the Q+AL threads and telling people they shouldn't be here.
philip storey wrote: Posted: 16 Sep 20, 13:11Who's parting with their money for this new live release from Queen&AL ? I put it in the same category as "Return of The Champions." I will buy just for my collection but i really can't see me playing it very much at all.I have not seen the tracklisting but i would guess it will be a Greatest Hits run through,as is the norm these days.

philip storey wrote: Posted: 02 Oct 20, 10:30Hey guys lets stop slagging each other off and get back to the point.I have not bought this latest offering from Queen ? & AL as a protest, not that it will do much i know as all the latest Glambert's will lap it up !! But hey one man can be joined by other's and before you know it you have got a protest. For those who have tossed away £25 can you leave some honest reviews here and let's get to the bottom [No pun intended] of these latest offering.

philip storey wrote: Posted: 02 Oct 20, 15:50I am so glad i didn't get sucked it and buy this abomination of a release and saved my money instead to spend on something else. Of course all the Glambert's will say "Freddie would have loved it !" It's got John's blessing,John won't even have heard it and certainly won't bother to listen to such tat.Now let me start to listen to my Tom Petty Box set and no matter what the Glambert's say "I won't back down."
well, make your mind up: either your're buying it, or you're not. you contradict yourself as much as Gerry. come to think of it? nah! could it be you are Gerry? after all: your presence in this subboard and creating a thread - appears to be for no other reason than to argue the toss with folk. yep. you are Gerry - or at the very least an extremely close relative (mentally, speaking).

I do have an interest in what Brian and Roger are doing with AL ,it's just does not float my boat.I wish that Brian would give the older fan's a few Box set's to enjoy in our old age ! Queen&AL is purely a concert based band.We have had no new material since TCR in 2008 which was a patchy project, although there were some good tunes ,I enjoyed "Small" and "We Believe" and "Celebrity",which was quite funny as they turned their nose's up at "Pop Idol" and "X Factor."Then employed AL who was a product of what they were snooty about and then even had the most embarrassing moment appearing on a "Queen XFactor Special." This was the most cringeworthy moment as they sank to new depths. It seems that the older fan's have been left behind and if you don't like what we are doing it's hard cheese. At least we have the Album's to enjoy when it was Freddie,Brian,John and Roger,I have been listening to them all this week in the order they were released and I am up to "A Kind Of Magic",which i am listening to as I write these words. The quality of these recording's will alway's be there for us all to enjoy.

does indeed look like it's heading for the UK #1
even though any Queen product right now rides on the BoRhap film wave, this surprises me
On the other hand, it looks like about 20K is what you need this week in 2020 to secure the #1
Out of everyone who saw a gig, that's a small fraction who decided to pick this one up...
Speaks volumes about album sales and what they've become
on a related note; does anyone know where to find the sales figures for QPR's Return of the Champions?

Thanks for your kind words BrenSKI I have not bought the latest album. One of the reason's I do like to post on this site is out of loneliness,I have recently come out of Hospital where I was being treated for my depression which has been very bad over the last few month's.I was only trying to create a bit of good natured banter.Won't bother again.:-[
